I am JUNHA KIM, a womenswear fashion designer currently pursuing an Honors BFA in Fashion Design at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
My work is grounded in social inquiry, and fashion is the primary language through which I express it. I approach garments as structures; through silhouette, construction, and material, I explore how clothing can question systems, challenge perception, and communicate tension between strength and vulnerability. I am drawn to clarity in form, and each collection begins with a defined concept that develops into a focused visual direction.
In 2021, I founded KEEM, an independent fashion brand project through which I led the full process from fabric sourcing and development to production and direct sales. Building KEEM strengthened my ability to move from idea to execution with intention, translating design into something that functions in real conditions while maintaining a clear and distinct point of view.
Alongside fashion, I have also held two independent exhibitions of abstract painting. These exhibitions explored personal memory and emotional space, expanding the emotional dimension of my practice. While painting informs the sensitivity and depth behind my work, fashion remains the medium through which those ideas take structural and physical form.

Profile
I am hard working fashion design student with disciplined mindset and technical ability to make accurate technical flats and tech pack with fabric swathes details, fitting notes, and garment constructions. Also proficient in Adobe Suites, MS Office, Procreate, and AccuMark to enhance the fashion design skills. I have the ability to quickly adapt to any work environment through the diverse experiences I have gained. From the many experiences of team based works, I have gained a deep understanding of the importance of teamwork and consider collaboration to be one of the most important values. By planning and executing solo exhibitions and fashion brand projects myself, I have developed the ability to initiate and lead projects proactively. Even in situations where clear answers are not provided, I carry the responsibility and passion to create solutions and move forward.
